Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is a composite of polyester based flame-retardant resin reinforced with fiberglass fibers. This lightweight versatile product is extremely beneficial in creating a potentially unlimited number of custom designed exterior applications (i.e. column surrounds, cornices, soffits, window surrounds, shutters, steeples, balusters, decorative moldings, domes, roof and antenna screens, etc.)
FRP fabrications are non-corrosive and very resilient to extreme weather conditions. WCI uses UV protected gelcoats to ensure that the FRP colors will not fade or yellow over time. The lightweight property of FRP enhances installation, especially in high locations, which results in lighter structure members needed for support.
FRP is easy to maintain, and no paint is required. WCI offers a standard 5 year warranty on all FRP fabrications.
